The central benefit of Human-centered design is, that an actual, relevant problem for a target group is solved. Because design thinking develops a shared and validated understanding of the problem right from the start, significantly more targeted and relevant solution ideas emerge. Design thinking leads to greater acceptance of the resulting solution because the target group is actually involved in finding the solution.
Design process
I am used to work needs-oriented. This means that i customize the design process to the individual needs of the company i work for and take into account the level of the current ux maturity of stakeholders and within the company.
Research
In order to design a product that meets the requirements of the user group, I carry out UX research. Before product development, I use tailored methods to research the customers‘ central needs, motivation and doubts and derive the added value of the product from this.
I distinguish between whether it is a completely new product, a product improvement or, first and foremost, the behavior and gaps in knowledge regarding a target group.
Experience strategy
UX strategies help to create more engaging and cohesive experiences at every customer touchpoint. You ensure that user needs, business goals and capabilities are aligned, providing clear direction to all team members and ensuring they can focus on solving the right problems.
- Understand the strategies above you on the org chart. Translate and adapt them.
- Find the business goal that matters most.
- Investigate the company, the user and the market to uncover obstacles to the goal.
- Present a vision and strategy that aimes achieving this business goal.
- Define measurable sub-goals and KPIs. Define how to track the ongoing progress towards your business objectives.
- Write a plan how to continuously and iteratively achieve these goals. Iterate untill these goals are achieved.
